I'm pretty new to teaching myself Drupal, but I use WordPress a lot for work. It occurred to me this morning, as I put a WP post together, that it should be technically possible to re-create WordPress using Drupal. No idea why anyone would want to, except as a sort of proof of concept (showing how Drupal is a tool to create publishing tools). Any idea if someone has done it, or if there's some reason it's infeasible?
I was asked to make a backup of a huge Drupal site. They want the backup to be automatic and they want the site to be fully operative, so in case the main one fails they can switch easily to the second one. Both servers are IIS. What would be the best way to accomplish this?
Thanks.
I want to develop a new module, but lacking any current projects needing one, I thought that I could instead help fill a hole in the community. So, please post modules you wish existed - especially if you think they have widespread applicability. I saw in the forums some interesting ideas, but wanted to solicit a few more.
I am doing an Intranet here for my office which doesn't just have group chats and such, it should also act like an HRMS and project management / file management and so on. I want people here to be able to sign in in the morning and check their mail and announcements, open projects, filter projects, send HR requests and such.
