Hello Drupalies!

We have just release a website at work in Drupal 7 and I was not the original developer on it. It uses about 7 SQL queries on the home page that are all created using the MySQL from the Views page. This website has a lot of traffic, but it is extremely slow.

I suspect that the website is slow because of all the View-Created MySQL queries. Could this be slowing down the website?

Also, if we convert these SQL queries into views and add those views to blocks in our theme, would the site be faster?

we're new to Drupal, we never used it so far but we'd like to add support for it to our recent app-studio which outputs native and mobile web apps(free).

Probably I could find the question somewhere deep in the forum but it would be great if someone could brief me shortly.

We build mobile apps around the user's MySQL data and don't touch any PHP code at all !

Q1 : which versions we should support and does the data-structure differs from version to version.

I've learned to make a basic blog on drupal, but now to further my development I would like to know about module which will help me build a site for showing specification of laptop.
