Installing Drupal

Hi,

I got the same error a lot of folks got trying to run Apache on port 80. I found solutions and am now using 8080, in my browser I can now go to localhost:8080/drupal and get to the Installation page.

When I get to the screen to enter my database configuration information it hangs after selecting save.

I have edited the httpd.conf in xampp to reflect 8080 for localhost and ServerName.

I am new user and wanted to make my website in drupal
I installed XAMPP at my PC and apache and mysql are up

I downloaded the drupal version 6.22

I installed a new wampserver2.2 I have access to localhost but access to phpMyadmin is denied (Forbidden,
You don't have permission to access /phpmyadmin/ on this server.) I use Windows Vista and have Norton Anti Virus. Could any of these causing problem.

I had installed a "Garland" theme and then moved to a "Corolla" theme. I have got an error given below. Can someone guide me as to resolve this problem?

What's wrong? How can I recover this?

After installing Drupal on localhost (win xp) with WAMPserver 2.2 I get the message "Access denied
You are not authorized to access this page. "

I then thought I would start all over again but that wasn't possible, it says "Drupal already installed", how can I uninstall Drupal?

What should I do? I think I used a non-english character in my password, is that the problem? How do I change my password for the admin account?

in the database I have no user name, I wrote "root" when installing.
