Problems installing Drupal - server won't recognise htaccess file

Hi,
I'm struggling with an installation on Easily.co.uk.

The server has a /website folder.
I have uploaded Drupal 7.8 onto the server and into this folder and renamed the folder Drupal 7.8 folder /drupal

With no modifications the site opens the index.html file in the /website folder.

register/login/logout failled

HI,
Iam testing Drupal at this moment to see if Drupal can be usefull for me.

Installing the core went good and no problems there but when i press the logout button it directs me to the a password change page ,also when somebody try to make an account ends up at this page .

Are there any suggestions or somebody who can point me in the right direction ?

Kind regards
Ron

Installing in staging directory recommended or not

Hello,

I'm new to Drupal. If I rename and install the Drupal folder in a staging directory (a sub-directory off of my personal site that I use for website design/development projects) will this be a workable method as I build the site? I haven't yet set up the database, but will be doing that next. I know that when I move the site I'll need to correct some of the directory paths, but overall, is this method recommended or not? If not, what other methods are suggested for building the site in a non-public area and then moving it when finalized?

Can't get Drupal to show up on local test IP using cPanel manual install

I have a website Im using for my work and wanted to start using Drupal to create a new site while the other is still existing. Then eventually redirect the new site to the old domain.

Taxonomy: Link to search instead of taxonomy page

Hi,

(I'm not sure if this is the right subforum, if not please let me know ;-) )

Is it possible to link the 'keywords' created with taxonomy not to the taxonomy page, but to the search?

Taxonomy lists all the content on one page, I want a nice teaser and a 'read more' link. Linking it to the search would be great for that, als it displays it exactly the way I want it to :-)

View: User role = author role

Hi,

Is there anyway to filter in a view for content created by users that are in the same role as the user looking at the view?

Or is there a way to put the authors role in a field with the content?

Thanks,

Jeroen.
