Installing Drupal

Recenltry I've taken a VPS with bythost with kloxo panel. I am trying to follow this instructions http://drupal.org/node/1011872 I extrated the files into the server and when I try to run the install.php I get this error:

Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

I experienced now with different modules (panels, zen_theme, zenophile) that if I install them by choosing "Admin, Modules, Install New Module" they are installed and then I activate them but for somehow reason they do not work properly. So I get 403 Forbidden errors. Especially with Images.
With the panels module when I want to add content to the panel I get the following error:

/panels/ajax/editor/select-content/panel_context%3Anode_view%3A/left#overlay-context=

I am new to Drupal. However, from what I heard and read, it seems to be a great product.

After testing, I would like to install a LIVE production setup on a Windows 2008 R2 x64 server.

I read that it can be setup using various options:
1. Acquia
2. Wamp
3. Windows Web Platform 3

Which is the ideal setup to install Drupal on such a live system?
What is the most recommeded setup for a live server?

Hi all,

I have a Drupal multisite installation. Our hosting control panel is plesk. I successfully setup a second site for our Drupal installation. We are done developing the site and I now need to make this second site live at it's normal domain name.

This is what I have currently:

- in Plesk I have setup test.domain2.com as an alias to domain1.com where the Drupal installation is
- under /httpdocs/sites I have a folder for domain2.com

I am trying to install Drupal 7.9 on my hosting :
PHP 5.2.6
MySQL 5.0.24a
PDO enabled

But it get this error during the installation, on Database confirguation page :

Failed to connect to your database server. The server reports the following message: SQLSTATE[42000]: Syntax error or access violation: 1231 Variable 'sql_mode' can't be set to the value of 'NO_AUTO_CREATE_USER'.

Does anyone know what causes this error?

This is OBVIOUSLY me, right? ;-)

So I'm willing to take the heat here for what stupid thing I'm overlooking.

I'm using WAMP on a local PC, and I know WAMP is running because I've got other php pages being served.

I'm trying to install Drupal 7.9 and I've got a multi-clipboard that I've saved the database name, the username , and the password to, yet when I paste that info into the Drupal install screen, it's telling me access denied for that user.
