Term reference to content type

I'm currently building a product catalogue, I now have 2 taxonomy terms; categories and brands.

Evere product has has a term reference to those 2 terms.
But instead of linking this to the taxonomy term, is it possible to create a content type and link it to those?

Because I want every brand to have it's own page, that way, I could easily link that brand to the product, now I have to create a taxonomy term and link the brand and product to that page.

Is something like this possible? Or do I have to keep using a taxonomy term for this?

Stop domain redirecting to IP address?

I've done some major searching and I am having an issue with my install when I go to http://mydomain.com it goes to http://###.##.###.### (IP address) automatically and I changed the base URL in settings.php, put in a clean .htaccess file etc. Is there something I am missing? Thanks.

Drupal 7.9 I cannot access the installer

Hi,

I am new to Drupal and recently i satarted a web site. I am trying to install on a remote server with a ftp client.
I followed the tutorial on this page http://drupal.org/node/1011872 uploading the files on the root (www.mydomain.fr/ )of my hosting and creating a new DB.
When I browse to www.mydomain.fr, I get an error message:

Drupal htaccess subdomain translated to subfolder

Hi,

I have a profile site at: http://site.web, which folder is: sites/default
I also have a blog site at: http://blog.site.web, which folder is: sites/blog.site.web, so the two sites shares the same file .htaccess
Now, each member of the blog, has URL: http://blog.site.web/user

drupal 7.8 on IIS 7.5

Hello all,
We are having a problem getting Drupal to behave properly. We've successfully installed Drupal, everything seems to be OK for the most part. For SEO reasons, we have a few virtual directories (URL aliases) which are duplicated by real directories on disk.

for example path1/path2/path3 is an alias properly mapped to a given node, but path3/
is also a real directory with files contained within (although no index.* of any kind)

Can't use My SQL, only SQLite?

Hi,

For some reason, although My SQL is set up on the host (and wordpress etc installed fine) with Drupal it only gives the option for SQLite.

Error message that appears is:

"The type of database your Drupal data will be stored in. Your PHP
configuration only supports a single database type, so it has been
automatically selected."

This is the php info:

http://www.jfk.ch/phpinfo.php

I need MySQL as I'm importing from a previous drupal installation.
