Problem with javascript and drupal...

Hi,

I'm new on this, and i dont know how to use properly the Drpal features, like forms and anothers...
But im trying to do some aniway. And i'd got a problem with javascript.
I builded a Node/page, and i could make connections to DB, make PHP code, with no problem. But now i needed an input box to enter tags, and i wanted autocomplete. I dont know how to use the autocompletes prebuilded in Drupal, specially cause i dont know how to use the froms features (and the copy paste gave me an empty page). Aniway, i dont want connection to DB, i just want to read an array on javascript to autocomplete.
The thing is, i downloaded a js library named suggestions.js, added to my page.tpl.php with src (yeah, weird, i dont know how to do that in another way), copied the example code, and... it dont work. The weird thing is, the error says "suggestion.toLowerCase is not a function", where suggestions is an object class. I tested the example page on the server (with drupal), and it works nice.
The src link is ok, code runs good until reach that error... the code i pasted in the node/page i created is this:

    Screwed up my front page

    Hello everyone. Here's the deal:

I was editing the front page of my website and of course, did not make a back up before hand.
Now the side bar and other blocks have moved up and over to the side of the page and I have no idea what is wrong. I have a database backup (the whole thing) from about 3-4 weeks ago and if worse comes to worst I will dig through that and try to find the code from before. Below is a link to the site and the code, which I hope can help someone help me fix it! I will try to answer any questions to the best of my knowledge and do whatever I can to fix it.
    Thanks in advance.

    The Website

A2B2XS - Cheap Shared Drupal-supporting host in the UK.

I recently posted about this on my blog:
    http://www.thingy-ma-jig.co.uk/blog/07-01-2008/a2b2-launch-shared-hostin...

Basically, they are offering a shared-level hosting package for £20 a year which provides 1Gb space & 25Gb bandwidth powered by Lightspeed Webserver 3, PHP 5 & MySQL 5. They also support SVN and Zend Framwork.

    http://www.a2b2xs.co.uk/

I've used their VPS service for 12 months now and just renewed at what worked out at less than £15 a month for a VPS with root access, 512Mb RAM (burtstable to 1Gb), 15b HD Space & 200Gb Bandwidth.

They also provide a budget VPS service called CheapVPS. This service basically provides the same level as A2B2 but on a more budget level.

    cck username field

maybe i am mistaken, but i remember using a username field that allowed me to type part of the name and it would fetch a list that matched via ajax functions. i need a username field for a content type that would benefit greatly from that username 'seeking,' because the usernames are (not necessarily, but some are) long and complex.

i must not be very good with search terms, because i can't seem to find a field like this. am i just crazy?
