I'm planning to construct an encyclopedia/dictionary like system. More like wikipedia. The reason I want to use drupal instead is its flexibility and its features like blogs etc.
What I want to make is a bilingual knowledgebase: Spanish-Turkish.
First I need to import about 50.000 spanish words and another 50.000 turkish words with their definitions, Then I'll let people to edit the contents in a colaborative way. I want to have the path alising module for all nodes
There will be also articals, blogs and image galleries.
It's more or less 1 week that I'm tryin' Drupal, and I've discovered some interesting things.... but..... which is the best way to create a button menu for the navigation in the upper zone of the page?! I mean, I've created my module but I didn't find a way to modify or create the navigatio bar....
I can create a new block with all the node on the side, but is not the same -_-'
Is there any way to take a node such as a page, story, or poll and make it appear in a block easily? I'm looking to have a poll appear in a block on the sidebar so it is easily accessible. Is there an easy way to do this?
With just three weeks to go in the Google Summer of Code project, it's time to look at what our student stipend recipients have done so far, and what we as a community can do to help them down the final stretch. I sent a mail to everyone involved asking for a status report, and also for some feedback on how the project has been going so far in general. The responses have been summarized below.
