Converting to Drupal

Hi,

The only web design experience I have is with Dreamweaver and that was over 12 years ago BUT I have been a BIG fan of Drupal since our church (WWW.CAI.ORG) converted their website to Drupal.

I spoke with someone today from an amateur orchestra (they are VERY good) and told her that I might be able to help them re-vamp their website:

I am new to Drupal and this issue must be fairly trivial but I have worked on this issue for a while and can't find anything directly referring to it in forums.

I have created 3 blocks each containing a div which contains a text string with links. There are corresponding css classes addressing the divs containing the text within the blocks.

In particular the color and background color of the text is set depending on the link state (link, visited, active, hover, focus).

How can I insert photo or video on drupal articles or page?

is it possible to have an HTML compose windows? the one with buttons to change colors, making text bold etc. ?

when I create an announcement, it linked to www.mysite.com/taxonomy/term/5

How can I create something like
www.mysite.com/announcement/subject_of_my_article
or something like
www.mysite.com/announcement/2010/subject_of_my_article

I've done a search but can't find anything new, so I thought I'd post it again.
I'd like to convert my 3.0.1 Wordpress Installation to Drupal, and if I can, keep my old installation intact, for now.
I'd like to convert to 6.x, but if another version is my only option, then iI'll have to take that one.

Hello all,
I have a site that I had run in joomla for some time. The site had a feature that allowed people to join the community site by connecting through facebook, and logging into the site with facebook credentials. I also had used an extension called community builder. This allowed them to create a profile and it added other features. I guess the parallel on drupal would be organic groups. I wonder how hard this would be though, or if it is even possible, to link their content that they created with their profile and their login details to a drupal site?
