Need help migrating your site to Drupal?

Main Menu entry for Core Contact Form on Main page

Hi all,

I am new to Drupal and I am experiencing the following problem.

I am using the Drupal drupal-7.0-alpha6 and the 7.0 Garland 7.0-alpha6 theme for a small business implementation.

I have enabled the core contact module.

My problem is that I can't get a link in the main menu on the main page URL. I get the link in an authenticated account and the admin account when I log in but not on the main site page. I want this link on my main page so that users don;t have to be logged in to contact us.

Can any one help with this issue?

Very new - trying to create a duplicate of an active Drupal site to practice with

Hi I'm hoping someone can help here. I have inherited a Drupal site. We are in the middle of the changing of the guards here and I have worked very hard creating a duplicate of this site to play with. I have copied all of the necessary modules, scripts and whatnot over. But where I get into trouble is with the database. Once I import it and do a drupal update so everything plays nice together. After this initial update, I am able to get into the Drupal admin pages again. My test site looks beautiful, acts beautifully save a couple of image and module oddities that I've been trying to iron out, but my big problem is that when I put the site into off-line mode to do anything, I can get back onto it from the computer I do this on through the history and cookies, but I cannot log back into the site if I close the browser, try a different browser, or try to access from a different computer. Not even with the admin password that I have assigned during set up.

Extracting drupal users, blog entries, pages, book entries from database

Hello;

First of all I don't know if this is the best forum for this question, if don't move it conveniently.

I would want to extract ONLY users, blog, book and page entries from database from a old drupal installation in order to place them in a new freshly drupal installation.

I've tried to import node and node_revisions but I didn't get any good results. I'm kind lost about which database tables I have to import.

Is there any other method or module in order to do this correctly?

Thanks in advance.

Just starting on Drupal for a major project

Hi All

I am just starting on the learning curve for Drupal for a major project we have coming on line.

I am reading Pro Drupal Development Second Edition and I have a question.

I am doing the annotation exercise in Chapter 2 and on page 22 and it reads that I need to create and view a page to see the annotation but gives no details as to how to do that step.

Can anybody provide a short set of instructions or this is a complicated procedure?

Thanks

Jim

Special offer during ubercart checkout?

I've seen sites that will prompt users during check out to see whether they want to take advantage of a special offer. Is there a way to do this in Drupal with Ubercart?

Thanks,
