I have a question in regards to using taxonomy as a file structure. Essentially, I am assigning a taxonomy term from a taxonomy hierarchy I setup while uploading a file.
I would like a way to display the files within the taxonomy hierarchy visually so that it looks like a file structure. Is there a way to do this? I am trying to provide users with the concept of a folder structure in Drupal.
For instance...
Group 1
- Specific Group work-stream
- name of file uploaded
We have an existing game community page at newerth.com. On that site we are using an SMF forum and some self written PHP scripts to handle some dynamic content, that we are using ingame. We have different mysql databases to deal with (general database for forums etc...and our other database where all the userdata from game is stored - like game statistics, kills, deaths etc...). So our users have two different accounts. First - the user account for the game account and second - the account for the page login (forum). These are two different accounts.
Well - with that beeing said i would like to ask you, if it is possible to change to drupal and using our existing scripts to generate the dynamic pages like stats & rankings. on that site (stats & rankings) are all statistics from the game listed. so users can search their own account and view their own stats - they can also browse through others players stats to view what they are doing. How can i connect with drupal to the existing external database where stats are stored? And how can i use the existing PHP Script to generate the dynamic stats & rankings page? Do i have to write my own module or which way should i choose?
I'm currently running a big page using PHP-Fusion 7.01.02. Sadly I feel I need something more... ambitious. Customizable. Pro? :) I've read many topics about migratin/converting from PHP-Fusion to Drupal 6.x but nowhere I found useful information how to entirely migrate. There were many answers like "I need that converter too" or "that's kinda hard" and no one posted a solution.
I have problem with site translation. I use drupal 6.0 version and i changed default language to Estonian and after that i don't have an field to translate Estonian language (now i have 2 english fields)[see screen 1]
All I'm trying to do is edit the little newsletter signup box in the upper right. Where does Drupal hide the HTML needed to edit something like that? I found something called "Blocks" that seems to get me close, but when I edit that particular block there is only the ability to edit some of the text, not the actual HTML form.
I am working on a project which involves using data from web services and creating visualizations/data analytics from them. I was wondering If I should use drupal for this? Also can someone recommend me any available good available modules for creating a data driven site like this.
I'm new to drupal, I'm still confused on whether drupal accepts data from web services to create visualizations since I won't be storing the data internally.
