Hosting support

So, a client's site got about 7k hits today, because he'd posted some stuff on Reddit. The site went down. I'm using GreenGeeks, and have the domain on a reseller account. Shared hosting. I've been dealing with this on and off since the post he made started going viral, and now I'm being told that GreenGeeks needs to upgrade me to a better server package with twice the CPU, Virtual and Phystical memory limits.

I am looking for a good hosting company that allows large database storage. We are currently hosting with GoDaddy and anticipate the database to grow past their 1GB limit. Any recommendations?

I am hoping to get modest traffic to my to-be-launched educational-site to begin with and grow as time goes. Also, the traffic will vary significantly during different time of the day (for e.g., morning very heavy traffic and as the day goes traffic reduces) and also varies based on month(s) of the year. Are there any Best Practices for deploying this Drupal based system on Amazon AWS environment?

I created a website on my computer in running xampp on localhost. Now I wish to upload the website onto a remote server, which causes probems. My plan was the following one:

I set up drupal on the remote host. I created a datapase with the same name, username and password as the DB I have on my computer.

I opened that DB using phpMyAdmin and pasted the sql-dump of my database into it. That worked fine.

Then I copied the file sites/default/settings.php of my computer into the remote server's drupal file.

Hello , i have created my website using Acquia Dev Desktop , and i am thinking about purchasing a plan with webhostinghub for a year at 41 euros .

Can someone help me understand how am i going to host my website ?

I repeat i have used Acquia Dev Desktop.
