Godaddy offline?

Is anyone else having problems accessing sites with domains registered at Godaddy.com? Every site I host is inaccessible at the moment.

hosting company where massmailer/phplist will work

I've spent time trying to get massmailer working on Dreamhost and I can't get it done. I have read multiple community posts about it, I just want to try an new host.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a hosting company where I can do a fresh install of Drupal (or even CivicSpace) and the massmailer will actually work? I don't mind fixing bugs or editing a few lines here and there - but just prove to me that somewhere, somehow this can work :)

I am looking at opensourcehost as a possiblity - anyone have massmailer/phplist working there?

Anyone using A Small Orange for Drupal?

I've got 3 small Drupal sites hosted at A Small Orange. $5 a month is nice, but the sites seem really, really slow. I've never had Drupal hosted anywhere else, though, so I don't have a good comparasin. Anyone using ASO? Is it slow for you? I don't know if it's the host or Drupal or just the fact that I'm a module addict. LOL!

Anyway, I'm considering switching hosting companies if I can find a better one that's not too expensive but I don't want to go through all that just to find out it's just as slow somewhere else.

Thanks,

Michelle

Hosting from a Drupal developer

I started developing Drupal websites just under a year ago having had some limited experience at design and development. When I started, I was already hosting client websites on a shared server with a UK host called Donhost.

Shortly after I developed the first version of www.vcommunity.org.uk, I found that there were considerable limitations with the shared hosting that could not be overcome. So I purchased a dedicated server from Donhost and started to play around with changing settings.

Many headaches and half a dozen Drupal sites later and I now have two dedicated servers - one with Donhost hosting all my client websites and one with another hosting company which hosts www.vcommunity.org.uk on it's own.

I would be happy to discuss hosting anybodies Drupal websites on either of these servers and am willing to do whatever I can to keep costs within individual budgets. Some things that you should know before replying to this post:

1) Both servers are based here in the UK and, for that reason are probably most suitable for sites where most traffic is likely to come from this country.

2) Hosting on the Donhost server is where I will most likely put your websites if you come to me. I can be flexible when it comes to most settings, but the server is already configured to work for 99% of Drupal sites so there shouldn't be much else that needs doing. Basically, there's no harm in asking if there is something special that you need.

setting up a mirror of a Drupal site

Hi guys,

I'm new to Drupal and I have looked through the forums/handbook for this and couldn't find anything relevent.

What I'm trying to do is;

(a) Setup a mirror of a Drupal site on a second host so if something goes wrong with the first (primary) host, I can simply switch servers (change the Name Servers to point to the secondary/backup host)

no breadcrumb on search and poll page

Using 4.6.6 with Friends Electric theme

Noticed that when I go to:

http://www.mysite.com/?q=poll OR

http://www.mysite.com/?q=search

there is no breadcrumb. I think it would be useful to have the Home breadcrumb like most other pages have. For example:

http://www.mysite.com/?q=forum
