Hosting support

Hello,

I am new t drupal. But after a test site on dreamhost ( they really sucks, there process killer kills upload of texts with 600 words! ) I search for good host. After a long research of opnions, money and "what you get" I am now on the decision between mmhosting and dvh.

And I am not quit sure how the "ssh" access is onboth hosts. For example could I use my own compiled php version with for example ioncube?

Anyone an idea where to switch? ;)

IXWEBHOSTING.COM appear to have veeeery poor drupal [and wordpress] support.
Does anyone have tips for getting their hosting up to speed with drupal?

you: it is an obvious hosting issue at your end. my www.othersite.com under a different account takes 13 seconds (!!!!!) to get to the wordpress homepage.

These are my final three in a search for a high quality, high spec host - not interested in $5/month deals.

Anyone care to choose a winner from these three or even make another suggestion for a HIGH quality host ? :-) if the cost is under $10 monthly, I'm not interested. I'm a firm believer in getting what you pay for!

I highly recommend it as im hosting w/ them.

Could anyone recommend FAST Shared Hosting Services given that there have been so many false recommendations ? I am currently registered with AN Hosting and their speed and connection time is horrible. For a site, with very minimal content and very little MySQL database calls, there is a great deal of latency when browsing through different pages on the site. It wasn't until after I registered for the service that I discovered this article from Rhinocerous.net
