What should I do? webhostingpad.com

I have used webhostingpad.com's service since 1 month ago. They have 30 day money back guarantee. For me, it's 04/05/08 and today is 29/04/08.

I have found my data folder had been deleted 2 days ago. I lost 32GB. :-(

I asked my lost data recovery or if not I want to refund money back including my domain registration fee because their fault not mine.(For their domain refund policy, They will charge $14.95 per 1 year. For me it's about $30, and I will receive $60 except $30 because I have purchased 2 years's product.

Anyway,

Virtual Dedicated Plan question

My current site is on shared hosting plan and performance is getting worse by the day. My site currently is getting over 5000 unique visiters a month and growing (just lunched the site 4 months ago). I'm looking into Virtual dedicated plan and have a question on what does the below means:

256 MB RAM Guaranteed / (1 GB RAM Bursted)

Now, i know the more RAM the faster, but my question is: Compared to a shared hosting, how better is this?!

Thanks for your advice.

What hosting company would you recommend me for my small site?

Hey guys!

I'm looking for a shared web hosting plan for my first drupal site.

I'm gonna be the only registered user, so there will be no heavy load on the server because I will use caching mode set to normal and css compression.

I heard that a common problem when hosting a drupal site is the delay when accessing databases and this causes pages to load slower. Do you know any host that is fast?

Also, I'm very concerned about my login data. Is it OK to login without a secure connection?

Looking for a good hosting company.

I am planning to host a drupal based website with around 15-20 sub-domains, I am looking in to "HostMonster" for hosting services. Is there any better choice available ?

newbie questions

Currently was set up using 1&1.com implamented two web sites with them. Is this a "host" company I am not sure how my web site works in that I want to add pages or modifiy the information on the front page. What part do you play? I read some of it but overwhelmed.

HotDrupal (Holistic Solutions) - new user feedback - very positive experience thus far

Before I post this review I want to lay out some facts:

RE: Credibility

- I'm a NEW user of Drupal and NEW member of the community so I have no posting history (hope to change that immensely going forward :-)
- I'm *NOT* being compensated in any way by http://www.hotdrupal.com/ for making this post, nor do I have any previous relationship with them.
- I have Drupal 5.7 installed on my site (http://www.tagle.it), but I do not yet have any traffic so I have not put this service through a performance test. This is only a review of my experience with signing / setting up.

After an exhaustive search through review after review about discount hosting packages (and nightmare testimonials), I realized that it's absurd to compare the shared hosting packages based on a price difference of a few $ per month or storage of 1 TB vs 3 TB, etc. This website is for my business, not personal use, so I needed a provider who is above all, RELIABLE.

I found HotDrupal via this forum and after reading their website, it looked like what I needed. I decided to go through their 800 number instead of the web to sign up in order to test customer support from the get go. To my surprise, a person answered the phone, he spoke clear, fluent English, and he was... wait for it..... COMPETENT. It was the owner, Steve.
