My website has suddenly began showing Internal Server Error 500...
Turns out that Hostmonster.com (my host) has found out today that Symlinks are the new security threat. So they've disabled it for all their websites hosted by Hostmonster. Thus the 500 error.
1) has excellent customer service
2) supports Drupal well
Both are very important to me, but especially 1) above. I'm needing a company that is responsive both by phone and e-mail. And because I may need to reach them either way, I am looking for something in the United States (if I call them, I want them to be in or close to my time zone).
I currently operate 1 international D6 site (traffic even from US and EU) with apx 100.000 nodes and 150.000 users. I am having huge load problems and my host does not seem to have the required drupal knowhow to make it work. The site is suffering badly. In one month from now I will be launching a new smaller site for a danish audience on the different subject, but also D6.
I run three news and fiction sites. One is technology news site Katonda.com and other are Kalkion.com and hindi.kalkion.com. I use JaguarPC, but their server goes down often. Could you please suggest which host is the best for Heavy traffic news sites?
I am on MediaTemple's grid service plan - they provide a stopgap domain permanent URL (http://userid.gridserver.com) for your sites (not associated with your .com's DNS).
I would like to install, develop, theme etc everything on this url before linking my .com to the site.
Should my drupal install switch over seamlessly when I start to access it from the .com if i have installed it from the stop gap domain?
I haven't touched my website in about a week and I don't know what happened or why I'm getting this error. Does anyone have any idea? How can I fix this? I can't even get into the drupal backend to see whats goin on. Thanks ahead of time. Full error is below...
