Hi
two days ago I tried to connect to my database through PHPmyadmin. I write my username and password for several time but I don't know why it did not accept it, after about 1 hour I tried again and I connect to it. I get backup of my database. today when I check my site, it goes to off line..... I don't know why??!!!
we are running a development server (Ubuntu, Apache2, PHP, MySQL) with multiple Drupal sites. I noticed yesterday that the server did not respond and I could barely connect to the server over SSH. The memory was full of Apache processes. After I managed to stop Apache the server worked fine again.
The terms of agreeement on ixwebhosting.com and godaddy.com do not cover you as far as the termination goes.
Does anyone have an idea what happens if for some reason you delete your account or they go out of business (I know this is a reach, but it is information I need to provide for my client).
I have set up a Drupal site for someone using Network Solutions for hosting and the site is quite slow.
The hosting package is not minimal.
They offerer Drupal from their control panel which I installed, and I update it to the latest version.
It was amazingly slow at this point, and I disabled checking for updates.
Now it is only a little slow, as opposed to snappy.
There are very few non-core modules in use and almost all of these are back-end elements like FCK editor.
I'm a total non-techie but am hoping someone can point me in the right direction. I had a designer and coder create my website and the coder used Drupal. My old site was hosted on Network Solutions, which apparently is not configured to support clean URL's from sites created in Drupal. The site looks great but the URLs make me gag -- http://www.website.com/en/?q=node/8 should read http://www.website.com/about.
I'am using heart internet to host our Drupal based websites and wish to build and maintain a test version of each site we build for clients.
I thought the best option would be to have a subdomain for each client from our main site (e.g. http://theircompanyname.ourcompany.com). When i try this however (via the control panel) i just get a folder within my main site (i cannot install drupal within my existing drupal site).
