Hosting support

Hi all,

I am looking for support in Drupal and Godaddy forums. For now I haven't found a post to answer my questions. So I'll post this one.

I have developed a website in my local machine. Now I want to uplaod and put it online in godaddy server.

These are the steps I took so far:
I bought a Linux host and install a Drupal apps into /drupal directory. Let say myWebsite.com/drupal.

I think this is my first error. When I go to my URL myWebsite.com it says is under construction and if I go to myWebsite.com/Drupal it shows a fresh Drupal instalation.

I'm not sure this is the right place for asking this question.

A friend of mine want to setup a eLearning website where one of it's feature is video tutorial, user can watch video online.

After taking some investigation, buying dedicated bandwidth from the web hosting is not cheap.
Then I'm thinking of putting the videos on Amazon S3.

I have a question, when a user watching video on my drupal site, the data traffic of streaming video is counted by amazon s3 or my web hosting company ?

I developed my site on my laptop and FTP'd the whole thing to the host into the public_html directory. However when I visit the URL in the browser all I can see is a blank page. I checked and can confirm that I have transferred all the files Modules, Themes, dbconfig.php, settings.php and htaccess but I only get a blank white page. No errors!. Would appreciate any help.

Site developed on Drupal 6.12 and my host has Drupal 6.15.

I have made a bunch of Drupal sites using different hosting companies. I had GREAT difficulty getting my very vanilla site to work on Netfirms. Netfirms Plus Hosting is the product.

I was seeing these problems:

1) I could not access the admin pages. it would just error out and say "contact tech support"

2) The site was able to deliver content but it was SUPER slow.

3) Mysql processes would just hang. I could go into phpmyadmin using netfirms control panel and see that the db processes would do nothing for many seconds.

4) Update.php would time out

I uploaded my local drupal site to xtreemhose.com

After the upload, I then created a blank database and imported the tables from my local site

now when i load the site i get the following error

Can anyone help me get Drush setup on Mediatemple DV ? I have it running and I can run it via # drush/drush status for example, but I get a error which says php is in safe mode and I dont know where to start, as the domain I ran it under is not set to safe mode at all.
