I used the t() function to output text from nodes in a block, so all the nodes got indexed as translation phrases in the locale_sources table. Is there a way to rebuild all the required phrases (core and modules)? Or, are there any other ways to get rid of the broken, useless strings, easier than deleting them by hand?
For example, on a multi-lingual page, I'd like to use the following words+translations :
EN - "My own words"
FR - "Mes propres mots"
NL - "Mijn eigen woorden"
Where can I add such custom translations so that I can use t("My own words") in my custom page ? Do I have to modify/reimport my FR and NL .po translations ? Did I miss something ?
I am encountering what seems to be a basic problem. I have a Drupal website translated in 7 languages with a lot of content. I used i18n module and I am happy with it, except for one thing. In template.php and other *.tpl.php I want to put some short sentences. How can I translate them?? I tried to use t('mySentence') function but it doesn't work in these files (no problem in a *.module file). I also tried to use i18n.String experimental module, without success.
Hello, I was wondering if it is possible to translate a string in a specific language. Lets say I hate "Hello" (en), and "Allo" (fr), and whatever the current locale is, I want to force the printing of "Allo",
(I know this is not true, but I am looking for a drupal function that does that) print t("Hello", "fr")
Hi, I cant seem to figure out why every time I put in Japanese characters in and hit preview I can see the characters fine, but when I post all I get is ???? replacing the text. Is there any way to fix this problem?
