Content Type Help Field

I'm working on a bilingual site, and needed to have the help value for a content type (the submission guidelines that appear at the top of the node form for that type) be translated, which they don't appear to be by default.

I believe I tracked down the problem, on line 44 of node.module:

    return '<p>'. filter_xss_admin($type->help) .'</p>';

Based on this, the string is never passed through for possible translation. The fix is simple, though:

Menu item which shows to a Taxonomy item (Multilanguage)

Hi All,

First of all, THANKS for the Drupal developers in all of the world. It is a wonder full product (not only a software!).

Problems with multilanguage frontpage in D6

Trying to use Language Switcher, when i click on English it works even if it is using the bad /node URL but when I click on Swedish from the startpage to the /sv/node, nothing comes up, I thought it would bring up a frontpage with only Swedish marked articles.

Am I doing wrong with anything ?

Sincerely
Roberth Andersson

Function to know what language is currently used by user

Hello everybody,

I just want to know if there is a function in drupal to know what language is configurated for the user which is currently visiting the website, so that i can print "welcome, you are reading an english text" or "welcome, you are reading a french text" ?

Thanks a lot

Right to left problem

hi all,
I want to enable users to post contents in multilanguages for example (Arabic and English)
the site interface is in English which is left to right
when displaying Arabic contents there is 2 options either to display Arabic contents from left to right which is inappropriate or to view the whole site in Arabic which I want to avoid.

Is there a way to have a site interface in English(left to right) and display Arabic contents from right to left?
is this a theme issue?
if so, please mention how to modify gerald theme to meet this
