Translations

I produce a English - Chinese bilingual website ( with Drupal core 6.15 and I18n) but use English as the orenginal source. There is an * in English in the English edtion of Catagory choice. After input I could see the item to be listed in the Breadcrumb. However it seems to be not the cass in any other languages ( in my case Chinese). When I ( click the Lanauge Switch to) switch to Chinese, I could not see the Catergory and its Items in the Edit. I could not find where I could put Translated Items (in Chinese), as a Catergoly item.

Hi -

For some reason, Drupal is displaying all translated stories in a group (via the Organic Groups mod). Under "Language negotiation settings" (admin/settings/language/configure) I have "None" set, and in my profile I have my language set as English. Both English and Spanish are showing at once. Thanks for any ideas - I've been searching around but am at a loss at the moment.

How will Drupal 7 handle i18n? Does it? Will it also require modules added to it like Drupal 6?

I have 2 vocabulary hierarchies that represent continent > country > region > city , in 2 languages : french and english.
They are not imported in drupal yet.

In taxonomy translation mode (d6 admin), i have 2 options that i'm interested in:

1- Per language terms. Different terms will be allowed for each language and they can be translated.

2- Set language to vocabulary. The vocabulary will have a global language and it will only show up for pages in that language.

Hello everybody!
On my site, configured in Brazilian Portuguese, is appearing in the top menu item and only this, some strange characters when I use accents, cedilla, etc.. (ç, ã, á, etc.).. As I said, only the top menu, in other areas of the site, not.
I also found out that this problem is only in the 'theme' I am using, the different themes that come installed by default.
How can I fix it?
