I'm currently working on my university dissertation on the following topic "Optimization of workflows in the localization process of websites created by CMS".
In the scope of this research I'm also working on how translation updates are best handled for the translation agency.
How would you suggest a good process to test translations on in a QA environment, and then deploy them to a production environment after testing?
* Best practices?
* Deploy/Services modules?
* Node export/import?
* Translate interface export/import?
* Freeze production, work in QA, then move the DB over to production?
* Other?
Our non-profit organization has created a new website with Drupal 6. The site is in English, but we want to have a button/link at top that users can click and see the entire site in Spanish (many of our clients are Hispanic).
Here is the issue: Our management really wants to use an outside translation service to translate our pages, but I want to use Drupals translation modules and the Spanish package.
Hello
I updated my drupal from version 6.4 to 6.17, and updated my modules as well, but from there on when am changing the language on the first page, the site is reloading the same page instead of the translated version. Anyone can help with this?
Am using i18n as module to translate the pages, and when i updated the module did have to rename a field in the table in mysql as the previous version's field name was different from the new one.
Hi. I don't know how I caused this problem but after logging into my site http://www.capoeirascience.com I am redirected to /francais this is a problem as the main readership is English, luckily there is no French translation so the content that shows up is the same. This is a big problem in terms of SEO however, as my hits are being seriously fractured.
