Upgrading question - version 6.16 to 6.20

I am wondering if you can upgrade from version 6.16 directly to 6.20 or do I need to perform incremental updates.

Listed in available updates are 6.18 and 6.20. Reading the release notes says there is no security update in 6.20 but the updates page says there is a security update that is needed.

I am new to this and need to get up to speed quickly with Drupal.

After D7 upgrade unable to navigate site, all menu blocks come out vertically without css formatting

No matter what theme I choose the page starts with "Skip to main content" then all menus are listed on the left in a vertical way:
Navigation

List links
Edit menu
Configure block
Contact
Search
Create content
Forum topic
Page
Poll
Story
Administer
Log out
User

/admin produces nothing
So unable to navigate site apart from typing in urls.

Tried clearing cache, tried various themes including bartik, tried disabling all modules, admin menu was no help either

PHP error appearing after upgrading from 5.x to 6.2

Hi,

I had been asked to move a website from one server (which is due to be decommissioned) to another.

Because I am not familiar with Drupal (and subsequently expected problems) we have set up a dummy URL for the upgraded site while I get it all up and running.

I have updated successfully (on my second attempt - the first one was a disaster) but when I apply the custom template I find that there is a php error appearing.

Update.php not found

I ran an update for a few modules the other day and I think the update hung or crashed. . . In administration->reports there is this message:

Some modules have database schema updates to install. You should run the database update script immediately.

When I click on that link it throws a 404 page not found for update.php

Management menu not created properly on upgrade

I did a test upgrade of my site to Drupal 7, and the "management" menu did not get created in the same way that a Drupal 7 install from scratch would. This is a problem, because the toolbar that appears at the top of the page is empty, except for the home button, and the logout button. The reason nothing shows up is because the root menu link to the "admin" page was not created by the system module. There weren't any errors given by the upgrade script.
