Allowing user to change themes

I'm upgrading from Drupal 5 to Drupal 7. One of the features I need to implement is allowing a user to change their theme. Try as I may, I have not been able to find details on how this is done in Drupal 7. Any hints?

Thanks.

Upgrade from 6.19 to 6.25 - Strategy

I have had a successful update to 6.25 except for one thing. The slideshow on the front page is not showing for any user including Admin #1.

I copied my entire site to a migration server so I am not working in an established dev or prod site so all is well and I am not in panic mode but still have this problem.

When I noted that the slideshow was not showing I checked the modules, permissions and views and everything is set correctly. I also looked at the view in edit mode and tried to preview the show, but nothing would show even in the preview. I then looked at the SQL for the Block and it is identical to the block generated in the production website which works.

I then decided to take a shot at creating a new slideshow image to see if that caused any difference. I was able to upload and create a slideshow image without problem and could view it as a single page but still under no circumstances can I see it in a slideshow.

I then went to Apache and restarted the apache server. This did not resolve the problem. So I rechecked the permissions again and retried to see the show as the Administrator and as an anonymous user. There is nothing on the front page where it should be.

CKEditor update breaks the site (Failed opening required 'includes/ckeditor.user.inc')

Ok, so this morning I came to work, it was early and there was this email saying that CKEditor can be updated.

So I just did it without really thinking : no backup, no reading instructions, nothing...
Some day you just better stay in bed :/

So now I can' t access the site anymore. When I try to access it with a browser I get :

Update process was aborted prematurely - Multiple Modules ... Server Configuration Issue?

I am trying to diagnose an ongoing problem with my client's live site.

When I updated their core from 6.22 to 6.25, I was unable to resolve the following error:
The update process was aborted prematurely while running update #6007 in locale.module...

I downloaded their site (files and database) to my development server, went to update.php and the update went smoothly - no errors. I pushed the database back up to the live server and the server recognized that no updates were necessary.

http error 500 Internal error unexpected

Hi everyone! I moved drupal 7 from one localhost to another localhost due to space. I was able to setup the new Drupal up and running without any issue, but as soon as I've import the .sql database file from the older drupal to the new one, I got the follow error:

Problem with Update #7003

I go to update my database and I keep getting this error:

Failed: DatabaseSchemaObjectDoesNotExistException: Cannot rename <em class="placeholder">filters</em> to <em class="placeholder">d6_upgrade_filter</em>: table <em class="placeholder">filters</em> doesn't exist. in DatabaseSchema_mysql->renameTable() (line 299 of /homepages/12/d174972552/htdocs/Drupal/SCToday.net/includes/database/mysql/schema.inc).
