Upgrading 6.25 to latest 7.x - images disappearing AFTER converting the field types... (Maybe a display suite plugin bug?)

I've been attempting to upgrade from D6 to D7 for over a year. I keep getting closer. I thought in January I was actually going to be able to pull it off, but I keep finding these... things... that get in my way.

One of the latest and more serious ones is that my images disappear AFTER I convert them from the D6 field types to the D7 field types. Was wondering if any of you have run across this.

Here's what happens:

1. I take my d6 installation on my test site, disable all the plugins, switch to d7 and upgrade the d6 database.

2. The upgrade process takes a long time, but it works without any reported errors.

3. At this point, the images on my site (which used a cck-provided field) don't display because that field type isn't a proper d7 field type.

4. No worries, D7 provides a tool that lets you do the conversions! So I run the tool, select all the unconverted d6 field types and convert them to d7. The process reports no errors whatsoever.

5. Huzzah! I have images in my content again.

6. Now I go about enabling all the D7 equivalents of the D6 plugins I used. I successfully enable them.

7. Huzzah! I now have all my plugins. And the images are still there.

Upgrading Drupal website 5x (5.20) till current release

Hello everyone,

I am new in using Drupal as cms system, but the website I have taken over for a part is running on version 5.x.
No i have googled how to upgrade, but the steps I found wasn't clear to me.

I have made a backup of the database and the website and placed it back on a testserver using FTP and phpadmin.

Updating - 7.x to 7.12 version (Amazon EC2, Putty, Drush)

Hello folks

I have updated the site from smaller version of Drupal 7.x to Drupal 7.12 using FTP client. I know the procedure is:
- Backup files
- Upload contents of Directory Drupal7.12 except sites folder
- Run update.php and its done!!!

This time I got a client work to update a website from 7.8 (i think, not sure though) to Drupal 7.12 which is hosted on Amazon EC2. I have never worked on this system before. By using help from internet forums I got access to the putty command line using Host, User name and key file.

Unable to update modules

I am not able to update modules on my site. I download, unzip, upload to sites/all/modules, run update.php but when I go back and check available updates, the original version is still shown. Checking the module also shows the old version. I even deleted a module (webform) which I was not using and it shows still being installed. When running update.php, it does not show any actions it just shows "starting updates" and "Remaining 0 of 0 100%".

Anyone have any ideas?

Updating drupal core 6.22 -> 6.25. No errors but update doesn't work.

Hi,

I am following the instructions outline at http://drupal.org/node/390448 to update my drupal core from 6.22 to 6.25. I have even tried to go to 6.23 to see if the problem was that I was skipping over versions. I don't receive any errors but when I go view my available updates it still says my core is version 6.22 and recommends I upgrade to 6.25.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,

Robbie

Updating 6.24 - 6.25, but get Fatal error when going to Admin

I was updating from 6.24 to 6.25 following the update.txt. Everything seemed to go well after doing the Update.php - no errors showed. I had choice to go to main page or admin. The main page link worked, but of course it didn't show my content as I hadn't gone in and made themes live, etc...

However when I go to admin I get this error:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function ctools_include() in /home/mydomain/public_html/includes/common.inc(1728) : eval()'d code on line 2.

I did disable the Ctools before doing this, so I'm not sure how to fix this.
