Drupal 7.23 Unsecure or Not? One says no. Who is right?

So many of you are so much smarter than me so I am relying on your feedback.

My web developer installed Drupal 7.23 and she tells me there is no need to update
to 7.24 because it is secure and 7.24 is not fully integrated.

Can some of you smart gurus tell me the facts, please?

Thanks,

Keith

Updating To Drupal 6.29 - Changes to htaccess Causes Problems

Hi,

I followed the instructions as per SA-CORE-2013-003 to update to Drupal 6.29. However, when I included the recommneded content for the htaccess file in default/files, the entire site lost its styling (and I'm guessing javascript functionality.) It all looked as plain text, but the links worked.

I cleared the system and browser caches, but nothing worked. So I had to restore the htaccess file back to its original form.

Any ideas behind this will be grearly appreciated.

Load ajax comment section ['solved']

Hi to all,
i'm having trouble building a custom esi cache system.

Actually i have a page with a comment section managed my "ajax_comments" module and everything is workign fine.

Then i started building a auth user cache system with varnish and ESI, so i have the same page cached with the comments section included with ESI.

I'm using this code for load the comments section:

Can't migrate any field data to Drupal 7 from Drupal 6

I'm currently working on converting a clients Drupal 6 site over to Drupal 7. The actual upgrade process works fine, and I can successfully migrate the field structure over for each of my custom fields. However, no matter what I do I can't seem to get any of the field data to go with it. On the content migrate page each of my fields are displaying information like:

Fatal Error after upgrade: call to undefined function user_access() /menu.inc

Hi!
I'm trying to upgrade from 7.23 to 7.24. I changed the site to development mode and uploaded all the files (except for the sites folder of course). Then I got this error:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function user_access() in /home/username/public_html/platohelper.com/includes/menu.inc on line 3861

Error Message when upgrading

HI,
I have a test site which I just tried to upgrade but I got the following message:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 52428800 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 491520 bytes) in /home/formtest/public_html/modules/commerce/modules/cart/includes/views/commerce_cart.views_default.inc on line 229

Could someone tell me what I've done wrong and/or what I should do to alleviate the issue?
WP is so much easier I've found, but I'd like to get to kno some Drupal.

Many thanks
Andy
