DrupalExtensions - search for Drupal modules and nice Drupal themes search

Cheers, community!

I've tried to implement Drupal themes search as I imagine that and as I want it to be.
(+ modules search (I like drupalmodules.com, but they seems to be stopped to support that).

Please check this out and suggest what to improve:

Thanks,

EVENTS Forum & Events in Groups.drupal.org are Totally two different Areas.

Posting here in the Events Forum:can only be seen in here(this "node” only),and does NOT Translate to the other Groups.drupal.org node.

There are couple of links you need to know as the structure of this site. which will be daunting to new commers(n00bs)like ourselves.

Groups.drupal.org

  • Has (4) Four Categories or Group type: structured as
  • Geographical 。
within each Group type is a Group Representing a Location.
and within that Location once you JOINed that Group; They have their event, isolated to the rest of the Groups.
There is NO Sub-Group Structure here; So a CITY Group is NOT joined with a COUNTRY Group.
They are treated as separate entity groups within the Group type.
  • Working groups 。
  • Distribution 。
  • Event planning 。
Where you create a Group; and the Event is For ALL over the world to Register to attend.
And get help in Organizing a Group.

You Can not create a Group in this Group type and try to MOVE OR MERGE it with other Group type or Groups.

So IF you have to post an event. You have to also post in the Location that it's being held in (G.D.O.) Groups.drupal.org。

Which module..!!! newbie

Hi there,
I'm new to Drupal, I've been using Joomla for years and know it inside out, but figure it's time for a change.
I need to try and build a form that is emailed to an individual and also stores the info on the database for review with a bit of Kapcha thrown in.
Is there something I can use to help do this or am I looking at coding from scratch?
cheers y'all

Planning a multi-subdomain site

Hello community,

I intend to summarize 3 sites into durpal:

- an already running TikiWiki project, contains Wiki pages and a Discussion forum I would need to migrate. Will run on it's own domain. Should later on have a single-author blog, wikipages, forum and small things like "contact us" and "donate" (paypal) buttons.

- two sites that do not have old shit that has to be converted, but that will both run multi-subdomain. Each subdomain should have a different theme, each may need a different amount of blog or forum and the navigation menu should contain the different items only for the subdomain. One of them should use a drupal design provided for me by a sister site.

The installation will run on 1GB webspace. I have 1-3 MySQL databases, but would prefere to use just one. PHP memory limit is at 128MB and should not be a problem.

As far as I understood, all this can be accomplised by using the same drupal installation, same database with different table prefixes?

Please help me plan what modules to install (in which order) to achive this... i am not new to webdesign or CMS in general (Tikiwiki, TinyPortal, ...) but completely new to drupal and would like to follow best practice :)

Modules I intend to use:
domain-access (that's the right one my my idea?)
backup-and-migrate
administration-menu

Disable URL calls via /node/*

Hi guys,

I have the following problem with my Drupal 7 installation: Spiders, scrapers and crawlers are constantly scraping my website and stealing the content easily, since they only have to call http://www.example.com/node/* incrementally and pick everything up.

Is there a way of blocking them? I mean to "disable" the node/xxx part. I would also like to put some random string to the paths, so that they are not easily guessed. Any module for this?

The rationale behind:

Seeking theme developer to develop new d8/twig theme

We are a non profit environmental organization called www.wildsight.ca

We are nearing completion of our design files, and are currently researching potential HTML/CSS converters and ultimately someone to develop the site into a d8 TWIG theme.

A few questions.
