I would like to use Drupal to manage the translation of individual texts (translation units) that will eventually appear inside of a UI (this UI not necessarily served from Drupal). It's necessary to have an enforced workflow similar to what is possible with Workbench. The states might be like:
Today I installed the Drupal 8 alpha 7 version on my Windows 7 64-bit system which is running Wampserver 2.4 (64-bit). The installation gave no errors, the database appears to have been correctly created, and I can see the default home page when I go to localhost/drupal8. However, when I select any item from the menu and try to go to that page, I instead end up on the default Wampserver home page. And this isn't a matter of navigation - the URL in the address bar isn't being redirected to localhost. The address is just what I'd expect, such as localhost/drupal8/user, for example.
I just did a first time installation of drupal 8 alpha on a fresh virtualbox with apache, mysql and php. I followed all the instructions of untaring, creating mysql database, copying settings file, changing permissions, restarting apache but whatever I try when I'm calling the link to the drupal folder I get a 403 permission denied.
Would you please help me out by giving me some information & guidance about how to setup a professional team of programmers and developers with at least 10 members, to work and help on developing core and modules?
1- In addition to PC, what other devices/hardware do you thing I must have?
2- What are the minimum PC technical specs. and configurations that I must have for my programmers and graphics i.e. CPU, Motherboard, HDD, Graphic card, etc.
