I haven't done this in a while, so forgive my ignorance. I work with an old site written in Cold Fusion and running on xampp. Before installing drupal, I'd like to be sure that I'll be able to continue to edit the old site in Cold Fusion and work on new ones in drupal.
Any advice or help (this all is Greek to me, so talking down to me is very welcome).
1. I have a website based on Drupal 7.21 core (upgraded from earlier releases), but cannot not update the Views module to the last version: all old views just disappear, and that compels me to create them from the scratches and that's a real hard work with no time for it. Therefore I consider it would be better to wait for 8.x release and upgrade the whole website at once - I know, such update will take a month at least. Is my decision proper?
I am trying out drupal 8 and have just starting working on it. I made a module with some forms to test things out. Then I decided to make a install file to automatically create tables for form to enter data. But to my surprise i cant disable and re-enable modules so that .install can be executed.
It seems disabling module is no longer supported o_0. can somebody point me to solution of this problem. Or will I have to create the module again, which I dont want since i will have to change name and all -.-.

I'm not seeing a way to administer custom pages in Drupal 8. I see that a page can be created when you create a new view. What I'm not finding that I expected to though is the ability to see a list of all my custom pages and edit the layout and content of each.
