I am coming from a Joomla background where functionalities come with all-in-one modules and components. As I can understand while doing my review on how Drupal works there are many many modules that you combine into one functionality you want to achieve.
Here is my conundrum. The project we are considering Drupal Commons for is a non-profit one, to facilitate better engagement in civil society. Currently we have been using Facebook to manage groups and tasks, however it was on a rather small scale and also there are concerns about maximum group sizes in Facebook as well as the fact that Facebook is basically being used for what it wasn't designed for (task managing and so on), hence extreme inefficiency (duplicate efforts being one of those)
Hi guys,
I'm trying to figure out if I can make a simple mysql database front-end using Drupal 7.
Basically, I have a shop, in wich for each client I need to take an order, fill out a basic paper form. I want to turn these forms in a simple web-app, build a content type in Drupal and fill them online, also giving me the possibility to search them using any data from any field.
I am considering of using Drupal for creating a business directory.
My main concern is speed. If lets say I have up to 50.000 nodes of content can Drupal be quick enough searching through them? Can it retrieve results quick enough even if the search query results in big data sets?
I will appreciate insight experiences of the Drupal community.
