I'm looking for a CMS that I can use to manage part of the data that will be displayed on a separate main site. The main site already integrates content from a variety of sources, has user management, and other features that mean we will not be replacing the main site.
What we want is something that will let us define discreet components (lists, descriptive blocks, small articles, etc). We then want a way for the main site to request component 123 and get back get just the intended data so that it can be displayed on the main site.
I'm building an interactive website. It requires bars, clubs, and restaurants to frequently log in and post their daily schedule, special events, and a lot more. In addition, I want their customers to be able to log in and post feedback on each venue. It's quite a bit like Yelp.
Is this type of application well suited towards Drupal? Or is custom code a better option?
Hello everyone
Need so guidance on which path to take, Organic Groups, Domain Access module, or multi-site installation.
What the site will need is a home page and other pages available to the general public and then some pages on a (group/domain) page that's also available to the public, but here needs to be a members only side as well.
The members of group-A will be able to see member only info on the main site and member only info on their group site only.
Members of group-B, etc, will all be the same, with the potential of 1000 plus groups/domains
I've been tasked (love that word) with creating a basic news magazine site. It's do-gooder charity work so the lowly actionscript / html hacker (me) gets the job over the pros (no $). I did an earlier home brew CMS which they were happy with but I'm convinced that I have to dive into Drupal for reasons that you Drupal types are aware of. However ... cold feet so a few questions:
While developed several full drupal sites I recently got a request to implement a "Subscribe to our newsletter" functionality on an existing html website.
Use cases are:
- visitors should be able to subscribe to the newslette
- client must be able to create a newsletter and send this to subscribed members.
Could someone point me into the right direction on how to approach this?
