I'm going to very shortly be tasked with finding/writing/adapting an online course system in Drupal. I'm looking for some advice on where to start with this project. I'm a moderately experienced Drupal developer and have created a number of simple modules.
The basic concepts of the course system are quite simple: A student progresses through a series of steps/lessons. Each one either asks the student to read or do something, and then others ask him to answer question(s) about it. The teacher needs to be able to review the responses and either approve them or reject them back with some notes on what to do to correct.
Hello,
Could You please give me the module names which can be usefull in creating system where few templates will by available and visitors can set up an account (subdomain is creating...) and personalize their 'website' (I mean put some text and photos/gallery, not adding next pages). Member accounts should be time limiitted (time access would be bought).
Please give me clues about modules I should use - never used Drupal before.
Best regards,
Mike

Is Drupal right for my site?
I'd like my site to have:
Forum, Articles, and individual members' content
Nice profile pages for each of my members that they can customize, adding text, pics and youtubes
Members can create their own blogs
Members can contribute to an Articles section
Profile page has links to recent forum entries, blog posts, articles
