Considering Drupal

I am considering Drupal as a CMS of choice. Primarily because of it's flexibility. But I am a little concerned about the amount of configuration that goes into multisite installs.

Questions: Total Download Limit? "Pop Up" search results?

Hello and thank you for your time,
We are in the process of starting a new project, and I have a few questions.

Our new project is similar to a coupon site. The end user will be able to navigate the site by categories and a search. The categories will most likely be done with Taxonomies, which shouldn't be a problem. I will be using a Custom Content Type, created with CCK, for most of the site. These will be "Coupons".

I want each of these to have several fields. In the search results there will be a Headline, brief description, and a thumbnail image. When the user clicks a headline, instead of being taken to a new page, I would like the full coupon to come up. This would include the fullsize image, as well as the rest of the fields in the coupon (i.e. expiration date, address, phone number, possibly a Gmap, etc). Similar to: http://www.sandiego.org/nav/Visitors/Resources/Coupons . The only difference is that I would like it to come up in a Lightbox or FancyBox. Is this possible to do? If FancyBox or Lightbox aren't reasonable for this, a target="_blank" would suffice.

Software access to a website?

I'm in the early stages of creating a centralised repository for mods to a popular open-source game, as now that there are in excess of 200 mods (many in active development) things are becoming unwieldy. Having looked at a number of CMS, I'm fully sold on using Drupal to handle the task. Amongst other things, the site is intended to make it easy for users to track updates to mods, and to provide subscribers with notification of updates to any or all mods, which they would then download from the repository.

Anyone used Drupal connecting to iPayDNA for ecommerce payment?

Hi all, I'm in the midst of considering Drupal as the platform for my new ecommerce website, anyone had experience connecting to iPayDNA? I tried searching around for the module, but no luck yet till now.. would like to test it out first before I decide. Hope some seniors here can shed me more lights... Thanks a million

Anyway, just to clarify, iPayDNA and ipay88 is different, seems to be like another Singapore/Malaysia based payment company though...

static site with very specific requirements

I am redesigning the website for a small business that sells bonds over the internet. the application forms and processing methods for each bond vary quite a bit, so I will probably need to add a lot of custom code for displaying and processing orders. most of our orders would be submitted by anonymous users, but we also need to create an interface so insurance agents from other companies can log in to submit and track orders for multiple clients.

Can I use Drupal for a multi user blog posting youtube links?

Hi all I'm new to Drupal but not to CMS or other blogging platforms, I'm well versed in Wordpress. Basically I want to setuo a website that can do the following:

Enable multiple users to post to a single blog quickly and easily.

They will be posting youtube links mainly so the videos must be playable as an embedded item.

They must appear in chronological order with newest first

I would like the ability for users to post "response" videos in the same way you can on youtube.

If I could afford the bandwidth and storage I'd go for a full on youtube clone, but the blog method allows the videos to be hosted on youtube.

I have searched many forums and I am currently playing with different ideas. On my site I have installed a simple machines forum as a test, this allows multiple users to post with embedded links, but lacks the blog style. I have installed wordpress MU (WPMU) and drupal in an effort to try as many different platforms as possible.
