Is Drupal right for my site?

Hi,
What I'm trying to do right now is to figure out if Drupal is a good tool to try to implement what I want or maybe I should go to something more custom. I read through some of the "Success Stories" section but I don't believe I found something similar to what I'm trying to implement.

I'm into martial arts and trying to design a site that is essentially a community of martial artists. Here is what I want the site to do:

50 thousand topics how to manage?

Dear All, I am totally new to this area. We have a project with students and topics( just names) database . We can copy the students and topic names to our new site . Here I need to have separate site/page for each topic . I mean each should be identified by URL . For example if I have the topic "6hsense " the URL can be any thing like

xyz.com/6thsense or
xyz.com/topics?value=6thsense

Or can be any thing that uniquely identifies topic.

What Modules Would I Need For...

Hi,

I am creating a website with a few other students from my school for an enterprise competition. The competition requires you to create a business idea and carry it out to make money. Groups are then assessed based on the idea and how it was executed. Our idea is to create a Job Search website for High School students.

We don't have that much background in creating websites although I know a bit of HTML to create a basic website. However I am aware that to create a Job Search website we must use a database such as MySQL and we found Drupal to manage all of this. I have also found that with Drupal you can install several modules that increase the functions of the website based on what you want out of it.

I have searched through the modules a bit and can't figure out exactly what I will need. I haven't yet installed Drupal on the test server as I would like to see the functionality we can get out of Drupal to cater for what we would like. So as you may know, a Job Search site will have a directory of listings from employers and the potential employees search the site for employment. What functions I would like for this is;

Ability to create an account of one of two types; one for potential employees and one for employers. The accounts will have different permissions and abilities.

Is Drupal good for creating a CMS website

Hello,
I would like to start a content management website using Drupal 6. My content management network will enable users to create blogs and stories. I have created the basic version at http://testsite101.000a.biz .
1. What are the additional modules needed to create a well maintained content management system.

2. I want my users to create a full profile page, and would like to have friendship module enabled. how to creae a page for creating all the profile information.

Confused!

So I read the "Before you start" sticky and I am still not sure if Drupal is right for my project. I have been looking all week for different solutions and keep being pointed to Drupal.

I have a local beauty supply business, and I have reps that sell our products. What I need is a site that will let me have a unique log in area for each rep. I also need a e-commerce store so that reps can purchase the products at their discount. I also need this store to serve the general public at regular non discounted price.
