Sorry if this is a bit too general...

I have been asked about incorporating some of the content of our forthcoming website inside Flash containers - things like presentations and so on. I have said that it would be better to make all the content html as much as possible as that way Google etc can better index it.

I know Flash has improved over the years but am I still thinking eight that for good SEO HTML is always better than Flash?

I have read the introduction to drupal, and I gather that this is an ultra flexible CMS. I would like to describe to you my web project, so that you may advise me on whether I should use drupal, and if so, what modules may be apt for my website.

My website will be called "haosite" from here on.

Haosite consists of three following webpages:

We're looking to develop a site selling "standard" products as well as custom printed products but I'm having trouble tracking down a standalone cart that offers what we're looking for. Because of this I've been investigating CMS + Cart + Configurator options and have come up with Joomla, Virtuemart and Fabrik. I think this combo will do the following things...

1) The ability to calculate the final price of a product based on the options selected ie width, height, backing material, quantity, lamination etc. This would probably have to be done with some kind of formula like width x height x price per meter, with product prices stored in a non standard way.

2) Preferably to be able to calculate this and update the total on the fly so the customer can see the price update as they select the options.

3) To be able to take this final spec and price and produce a quotation that the customer can choose to have emailed to them if they don't want to purchase there and then and that could also be saved to the system and/or emailed to us.

4) To allow customers to enter custom sizes when selecting a product (ie 1273mm x 549mm). Obviously this won't be possible with drop down menus so text input fields I assume are the only way to do this.

5) A mechanism for customers to upload their own artwork to the system when/after making a purchase.

hello, I'm trying to decide on which image module to use. While I'm overwhelmed by the number of modules out there I couldn't find a good all-rounder yet.

I'm running a text-heavy site with many articles that have one or more images each.

Essential requirements:

* images can be placed inline (wherever required within the various text boxes)
* some freedom as to how present them. For example, I want a possibility to attach a caption to the image that then automatically displays underneath the image. Ability to e.g. add drop shadows would be a nice touch.
* images can be centrally maintained on the server with tags, e.g. photographer, perhaps taxonomy. Perhaps I will add a gallery function later that allow visitors to look at pictures based on a criterion, and then click on it to go to the corresponding article.

I use CKEditor. I'd really like WYSIWYG image editing - the picture to show up properly already when editing so it can be easily placed within the text. There is a module enhancing CKEditor's image dialog so images on the server can be linked - unfortunately only by inserting a hard-coded URL directly to the image, which makes me worried about the admin involved (1000+ images). Also, presentation options are vary limited this way - wouldn't know how to implement the caption for example.

I do village section of the site with ads. Catalogue-index made by Taxonomy Menu, but when you come into a node, then the menu is not visible to any menu item belongs to the node.

Is there a setting or additional trick?

plz suggsest modules for Kindergarten / Preschool website ?

Would need basic features like :Gallery,Parent login, Announcements. ( announcement using mass email notification, individual email notification for reminders, alerts etc. ) SMS notifications etc.

All ideas are welcome.
