Before you start

I am considering using drupal (or joomla, lol), and I am looking for a solution with as little coding as possible. I can do design easly with quarkXpress, exported to html or flash, actually very simple...
Now I need something more advanced, I need to make a site where members can have an account (sign in stuff) and assign for different arrangements that we do, and keep a history of them and send reminders. For some few of the arrangements, they will need to pay for them, but mostly will be free.

I have read through the beginning sections of this site with the introduction to Drupal. I am considering some different options for my current 1000+ page website. I run a small business though with an ever changing inventory, so the current site must stay live. The goal is to move to a CMS with more options than the current Yahoo! Sitebuilder that I am using. I am not sure if Drupal is for me or will be easy enough for me to pick up without a lot of technical knowledge. I am not a programmer by any means, and therefore need something that will be simple.

My problem;

This is a primary link menu/page with a block inserted (Poker intro)
Underneath that Block ,(underneath *(Source;http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Poker)), there is a Menu/Page title 'Poker'.

I want to keep the primary link but I want to remove the primary link page/menu title from the actual 'content' [i realise it isn't defined as drupal content].

I wish to remove the page/menu title from every one of my primary links now and for any new ones I create.

I have looked at http://drupal.org/node/168855
BUT my theme page.title.php seems to not have title in it?

I've read the Drupal documentation and am pretty excited about this CMS. I just need a bit of assistance from seasoned Drupal pros to ensure I'm making a good fit for my client. He wants to setup a website offering hosting/websites to florists. Each florist would have their own site/cart (thinking about UberCart) and would be charted a monthly/annual hosting fee. Each site would have their choice of a few standard themes, or they can pay extra for a custom them.

Can you smell the noobness? I'm going to be hiring a programmer to build my site, but I'm wondering if Drupal is the right platform. Essentially, I want to build a site that is similar to instructables, in which users can create profiles, submit content and rate other people. In terms of layout and design, that will be handed off to my designer, but an essential element to my site is creating a social community around 'mini-blogs' that users create which may have video and images.

Is Drupal the right platform for me? And how difficult is this to create?
