I currently have an ecommerce site but it doesn't have some of the functions I need. I liked the look of the demo site here and playing around in it, it seems pretty straight forward, Plus all the modules available. Now looking at the different Drupal versions available I have no cluse where to start. As I said it is an ecommerce site mainly, but I do have a lot of information and my site is used for reference and IDing items by many visitors.
I want to created a website where users can post stories with images and videos to my site and other users can comment on the posts. All i have to do is monitor it at the back end. Anyone know how i can accomplish this? any hints, points?
I'm building a new SSL VPN infrastructure for a company and instead of using the fairly plain(static) pages that the SSL hardware builds I was thinking of setting up a portal page for each group using Drupal. Fancy it up a bit.
The users will be authenticating/authorizing out of AD and groups. So I'm thinking each group would have a page they'd be directed to like remoteaccess.home/engineers, remoteaccess.home/accounting, remoteaccess.home/vendor, remoteaccess.home/default, etc?
Just wanted to drop a link to a video series we are doing which is an introduction to Drupal and goes through installing and configuring a prepared theme (blogbuzz by Antsin). It might be of interest to anyone who is thinking about using Drupal or who wants to start but doesn't know well! There are a lot of videos and as time goes by will become more and more sophisicated.
They are not intended to compete with the many in-depth advanced tutorials, but are aimed at people just starting.
I'm currently creating a system for my office that would enable them to display certain reports for their needs. This application is not integrated to Drupal, though, since they needed a quick integration from what was previously done for them. What I would like to do is to integrate the user validation used in Drupal, so that they could access the report feature. Is this possible?
I am about to start building a site which will give users the option to create an account and do the following:
- purchase additional services (based on services purchased in the past),
- pay for these directly or setup direct debits,
- display a 'log' of the services they have purchased and when they expire.
