Ok, im a bit confused as to what Drupal actually is. I've installed it and logged in just to look around but I dont understand what I do with it. Can Drupal create a website? if so, how do I start designing and building it and how do I view it? Or is there something I do to add drupal into an exsisting site that I have made already. Im very much a noob and I really dont get this haha.
I'm currently building a website that will allow people to login with a username and password and the be able to message other people and befriend them and have them on a friends list.
I'm also wanting my site to give a live update of places people are attending when they click on a button saying attending or something along them lines. This way when people log in they will be able to see where people are going.
Would drupal be good for this and which way should I go about doing this?
Hi guys basically I have a website already made up but I need Drupal to be used to update some sections of it i.e the image galleries and navigation. I need drupal to be allow me to add new gallery pages into the navigation bar that will link to their assigned image galleries - is this possible? if so, can someone walk me through it?
I've been using Drupal for some time now, but feel I haven't even scratched the surface in my personal knowledge of the capabilities in Drupal, so please excuse me if my question is horrible obvious.
I'm building a site to provide local politicians the capability to raise campaign funds. I'm using CiviCRM to handle the donor forms and have everything working the way it should, but the way I currently have it setup, I'll have to do all the work.
We are currently planning to migrate an application which is already developed using Ruby (frontend) , MySql, Solr, active mq and our application basically displays different types of data to different users based on the relevance factors users provide.
My question here is am I making a correct decision to change to CMS (drupal)? If so I want to know if drupal has an option where different users can provide different relevancies and populate different data for each user. Our possible number of users accessing site is around 1000 per day.
