Before you start

Hi friends,

Is there any newsletter/email management module in drupal, where we can enter mail lists and manage special newsletters for direct mail marketing? meaning lists we can use when we want to distribute special messages by mail to users etc..?

#currently we are using notify module ( custom code also ) to subscribe/unsubscribe news lettter option is it possible to create mulitiple list with simplenews module ?

#is it possible to integrate notify module with emf , http://drupal.org/project/emf.

I'm preparing to use drupal for the first time. First, I want to make sure it can accomplish all I need it to. Second, I need to understand the basic way to setup/organize drupal in order to accomplish these goals:

A few questions about multisite:

1. Same codebase for all sites. Does this mean different sites can have different themes?

2. Is there a separate SQL DB for each site, or all in one DB?

3. Can each site be at a different domain?

Guy i need some help to understand drupal before i start convert my site (wp) to drupal :)

My site is huge ( > million post in wp base), but i facing huge DB issue with wp (when it reach 400k post), everything slow down, can even update new post and take minute to complete search :(

I'm using the Drupal Commerce module to build a Website to manage two Flats to be rented by days.

The visitor select one of the two flats and then select a date (let's say it the day: 15 January 2012) and make the payment for it.

After the payment the date of 15 January 2012 will not be available to be sold again until this day has passed (the 16 january)
