Before you start

I have been asked if Drupal can be used for a small book publisher workflow internally. Here is the basic idea.
1) Files received from author
2) Editor cleans the book
3) Published electronically or exported out to xml

during the intallation of the drupal (commmons - the community-installationprofile} a certain step fails all the time

Database configuration - fails ever time - can i do it manually

can i create the tables manually - via phpmyadmin - and
secondly put the sentings-file [of course with the correct editing ] to the server.

Well i have a question - is this file below a ordinary Drupal-Config-File!?

[i took it from a Drupal-Commons...] well i every time have terrible troubles when trying to install drupal or anything drupal-things. - my server is configured in a very very special way - so i have to take care for the installation

- Note: i have troubles in finalizing and finsishing every installation - therefoe i normally do some special installation - i carry over [ that means i port over ] the installation from a xampp,

Well you may say - what a nasty guy - he is silly - but it is true - i have no luck in running the general installation - process.

I have managed to do some installation of a drupal 7-9 this way. So i am happy.

And now - i want to install a drupal -commons . My question is: Can i take the allready edited config-file of an ordinary installation of the drupal 7-9 !? Is this possible!? Wellit would be great if you can tell me this.
Well we can make supre that this is possible - if we find out that the file below is exactly the same that is used
by the drupal - version 7-9 ??

Note - if we say - the file below (/it is one that i took from the drupal-common installation) - then i would have made a big big step forward to my very very own Drupal-Common-Installation .

I was told that there was a pdf version available for the documentation of Drupal 6, but I can't seem to find it anywhere.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

I know.... an old and beaten topic. But this isn't a "which is better" debate. It's just that before I recommend Drupal to my client, I would really appreciate some feedback from the forum.

The client is a start-up who is seeking to build a website that allows the public to find discount professional counseling services in their area. Counselors apply to become part of their network while the general public is able to use the site for free to find a counselor who is offering their service at a discounted rate. Essentially, a marketplace for discount services.

Ok i works Joomla CMS since 2005 and i love it but i think todays Dupral is better...so i have a big intranet project and i want use http://openatrium.com/ who is a fork of Dupral.

1/ First question, do you know openatrium, if yes what do you think about it?

2/ Second question, Does Dupral can be easy to understand when you come from the Joomla world??? ( we works very hard ;))
