Before you start

Please help me. I wana to start a site where peoples register as member receive the messages from administrator. These messages mainly have websites url when they click on website url .this website load in new tab of browser and member earn point. The one thing most important they earn point only when loading of website in new tab complete. Otherwise no point earn by member. And administrator have control to see all member earned points. Is drupal modules available to complete this project ?

What is the best addon module for a web store Drupal Commerce or Ubercart.

Everywhere I read, it talks about people using Linux. Is Drupal compatible with Windows 7?

We have a case at hand where Students are to upload their semester results. The results are then evaluated by an Admin. After confirming with the students school, the process ends Else the process returns to the student to ensure he/she entered the correct details. If the student has no response to the admins query, he/she ends the process.

I've tried both Joomla and WordPress and they seem much faster then Drupal.
When I access my Drupal site installed on localhost I have a big delay.
The delay is also present when browsing through pages without been logged on and editing.

I've seen Drupal sites online that moves much faster. I'm doing something wrong ? Can something be done to improve it's performances ?
