Hi All,

I have created a view which pull all articles and show limited text and post date. I want Only to display the content for 2012 articles for rest I am expected to show following list:

2012 >>

article 1
article description

article 2
article description

2011 >>
2010 >>
2009 >>

The year will be hyperlink on click of these link I should be able to show articles posted in that year. Can someone help me how this can be achieved best?.

I’m a Symfony developer and for business reasons I have to learn Drupal and specifically Drupal 8 that will be based on Symfony components.

My question is as I’ve never installed Drupal and want to follow the development of Drupal 8 and willing to contribute, do I have to learn Drupal 7 before ?

Will D8 be completely different than D7 ?

Hi I am new to drupal and I am trying to create a site for a non-profit company that does festivals. What I want to do is create a festival content type and have a view to pull the festivals, but within each festival I need to have a sub menu to list things like artists for that festival, applications for volunteers and so on. What is the best way to do this? Can you create submenus within a view or is there a better way to do this? Thanks for anyone out there that can help!!

I have a project where I would be developing a website for an institute. Where they want to list there branch information, courses information, students, tutors etc. Where students can download some documents, maintain their profiles, upload their assigments and pay fee against their courses/invoices. I mean payment module will be included as well. Admin side is required for administration, for tutors.

My question: Is there any installation profile or module which can help jump start for this project?

I have few drupal websites being hosted at HostGator but for some reason they have suspended all my drupal websites today saying you have to install a caching system like http://drupal.org/project/advcache (the module is obsoletenow)

I didn't do anything to my websites from last couple of months and today they suspended my drupal websites only. So, I'm looking for alternatives. Please suggest some.
