Before you start

Hi everyone,

I'm so absolutely new here that I probably should be in diapers, but I wanted to say hello and tell you how much I'm enjoying learning Drupal. It's a lot of fun to be a part of something so vibrant and promising. I don't know a lot about different CMS' but I've dabbled around looking and nothing caught me like Drupal. Since then my brain has just about exploded, but I'm enjoying myself a lot. Its an incredible testament to creativity.

And therein lies the rub. So many possibilities that Drupal is surpassing my expectations of what I would be able to do that my imagination has caused my brain to crack. So I wanted to just run it by you to see if you had any recommendations of what modules for v.7.x that might help me achieve some of the features I really need this site to have.

I am just starting to use drupal and was wondering, does drupal have the tools and or ability to be used to create a sports gambling website?

installing drupal for new client and want to know when 8 is going to be production ready, should I go with 7 or 8 here?
