The purpose of this topic is to cover the useful linux commands in creating VM for Drupal development. I am not linux expert so I can understand the pain of newbees into linux world.
I am close to being an absolute beginner and would be interested to have guidance on the following. I would like to design a site where users (closed user group) come and register. Each user gets a unique ID assigned. The user print out this ID in QR format, a process handled by the application.
Later via a smart phone app, the code is read by another user (user 2) and an email is sent to user 1 informing him that user 2 has scanned his code.
Question : which technologies do I need to get familiar with in order to develop such application?
Hi everyone,
I need a product configurator, for a eshop, which is able to use drag and drop system in order to show customers how their product could be composed.
For instance you have a cabinet on the left and some accessories like big drawers, little drawers, shelves, etc on the right and customer should be able to drag a little drawer and drop it in the cabinet in the position he wants.
As soon as a accessorie is placed, the cart amount add it to the cabinet price.
I googled this and it came up with some options, zen, skeleton, bootstrap, etc. Is there a them that is widely known as the MOST barebones? I want the one with the very least amount of markup.
Currently we have some sites in 6.x and 7.x. We hadn't made the switch to 8 waiting for the modules etc to catch up and I saw that Drupal 9 is coming. We are considering upgrading some (from 6 to 7 or maybe 8) but need to know what the benefits would be in the long run to justify the work?
Is there somewhere showing the differences between the versions?
