Hello.

I'm thinking to do a website portal where user can add comments by images. The first solution (very bad) is create a new node for every image, but I will upload a lot of images and group them by albums. ¿is Drupal a good solution for build this site? ¿Can you give me some ideas for this issue?

I imagine this question is asked often but I haven't found decisive information. I am absolutely new to Drupal, and I have decided to take a shot at it for a website I intend to build. Whether it is the right tool for the job I wouldn't know, but I am wondering how I should approach it.

Drupal is a CMS, right? A vehicle for collecting and presenting information.

There are myriad support for defining different types of content and presenting information, handling layouts, defining access, etc.

And then there are "forms'. There are lots of different solutions for defining forms, mostly aimed at developers.

Now this may sound like a strange question but what are they used for and why are they needed?

To present a front end to developers own modules? To provide an alternate way of collecting content? (much the same thing).
