Before you start

Hello,

I'm new to Drupal and i want to make a website using Drupal.
The website will list coupon codes for various stores, just like http://www.coupons.com/coupon-codes/
if someone would hint me on how to start the project or reference any modules to use, if would be of a great help.

I'm Shafa and very new to Drupal. I own a social network + news/reviews hub created on Dolphin platform. Lately Boonex has has released alpha version of their upcoming product Dolphin U. Before I make this migration I thought I look into other options on the market. I've read much about Drupal, specially with new version went into beta and I really liked it. I have some questions though that I was hoping some of the elite here can help me out a bit :)

Looking for a good recommended Drupal host.

I know there are numerous options, but was hoping for more specific advice.

I'm looking for a website that will have relatively few users (I mean literally like 20), but most of those users will be logged in most of the time, which obviously adds an additional burden.

Hi,
I'm new with Drupal, with our website we use vivvo which is really appropriate to our requirements.
I have to change this website and I'm testing differents CMS.
I'm very impressed with Drupal but I'm blocked with some exigencies.

1. There will be users : journalists, editors, administrators. Each of them must not use the standard interface of Drupal. I have to create special pages with different roles.
2. An article will contain different fields than the standard offered with Drupal. I understood the use of CCK.

How is one better than another?

I need to create a portal web using a Content Management System (CMS), and in this way, Drupal (PHP) and Liferay (Java) are my best options, that's why I am here :). I have a vast experience in Java Web applications, however I have never worked with PHP.
