I´m moving and will not have internet access for some time. I´ve decided to learn using Drupal to make a website for a birthday present in mid july.
Can I install Apache on my computer, download Drupal and practice offline? Do you know of any info for that purpose? Do I need to install anything else, MySql perhaps?
Hi, I'm just about to start a new Drupal based site, my first other than a test site I built in 4.6, just before 4.7 was released. I have to be able to edit meta data by node but nodeword dosn't have a 4.7 release yet.
From searching I see various comments about it working in 4.7 so do I just install the cvs version and try it?
Should I post this question within the actual nodeword module area (if that's possible)?
I'm new to Drupal but it looks really good and I'm looking forward to using it. This is the only module that's missing from what I need at present.
I've been playing with 4.7 ever since the first beta, but I got into the habit of downloading the CVS version rather than the previous "snapshot" release. It appears that the 4.7 branch is under continuous development, with bug fixes and improvements added daily.
I'm evaluating Drupal for a new project. I've used other CMS tools, but, this is my first time looking at Drupal. So far it really fits what we're looking for. The one thing I can't find is if there is a module or hack that will allow me to send the contents of a form in an encrypted email (using S/MIME or PGP). It's not a killer for Drupal, becuse I can always write it in PHP outside the CMS, but, it would be cool if Drupal supported this out of the box.
I'm using TortoiseCVS and I don't need to checkout the whole, gigantic contributions directory...only the modules directory and all modules contained within. I've tried variations of the <directory/to/module> syntax found on http://drupal.org/node/321 but get nothing but errors.
Does anyone know how to set up Tortoise to only pull down modules? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I am looking to send OUTGOING RSS feeds. Is Drupal capable of this? If so, how do I go about setting it up properly? How do I offer the RSS feeds out after it is set up and how do I contact the major agenies(whom ever they may be) about my new fedd so that they check it.
This is a whole new area for me and I know nothing about any of it so please be very claer and treat me as the dumb blonde I am! :)
