Allout call for tutorials

I´m panicing, I´ve decided on Drupal as my cms but talk about a learning curve! It´s a bare sheer faced cliff! Especially for someone like me who has no experience with php, mysql or apache. I´ve ordered books on all of those but there is no drupal tutorial at amazon. Only one that deals with phpbb, wordpress and drupal. I think I´ll need a lot more that a few chapters to understand.

So if anyone knows of good tutorials please let me know, even if they are aimed at more advanced users I still might be able to figure something from them.

Thanks in advance (I hope :)

Drupal 4.7 and TinyMCE

Hi @,
I now this is a never ending story but I looking for a solution without a result in this forum.

I installed the 4.7 module and the tinymce_2_0_6_1.zip in this order and structur:

htdocs/modules/tinymce/tinymce.module
htdocs/modules/tinymce/tinymce/jscripts/tiny_mce/ tiny_mce.js

I checked the "tinymce" module checkbox and saved.
In Administer -> access control, checked both the TinyMCE checkboxes for authenticated user and saved it.
I createt a new profile and enabled TinyMCE for "authenticated user".

But there isn`t a "rich-text" button like this:
In Drupal, go to "create content" -> page, if TinyMCE doesn't show up, click on the "enable rich-text" button thats at the bottom of the big textarea. If you don't see that text or TinyMCE doesn't show up, something has gone wrong.

But I have -> user-> account a "TinyMCR rich-text settings"
I see in administer->settings->tinymce->edit this menu

Home » administer » settings
Edit tinymce profile
advanced
Visibility
Buttons and plugins
Editor appearance
Cleanup and output
CSS

and it is possible to use it, change the button and so on, without any error message.

So the only active fault ist the lack of rapport with
...if TinyMCE doesn't show up, click on the "enable rich-text" button thats at the bottom of the big textarea. If you don't see that text or TinyMCE doesn't show up, something has gone wrong.

How Do I Upgrade from 4.63 to 4.70?

I have two Drupal sites to upgrade from Drupal 4.63 to 4.7. I have never upgraded Drupal before and am a little nervous about doing it. Could you answer some questions about upgrading.
1. Do I need to up grade in steps; i.e. from 4.63to version 4.65, then to 4.6x, etc. or can I upgrade directly from 4.63 to 4.7?
2. Could you point me to the instructions from doing this upgrade? (Does one set of upgrade instructions work with upgrades from all the 4.6x versions?

Drupal 4.7 Wiki Module - "Liquid"

Hi,

I work for a charity called U Can Do IT (www.ucandoit.org.uk) which is in the process of revamping its website to use Drupal 4.7. As part of this revamp I am trying to get a wiki installed on the site to act as a repositry of advice to do with basic computer use.

Reasons for running common codebase for multisites? Tips?

I've read several threads about using a common code base for multi-installs of Drupal...and am sure this seems like an obvious question to anyone who has run multiple installs before - but I couldn't find where anyone actually mentioned how/what using a common codebase makes things easier.
