I'm using Drupal 5.1 with multidomains configurations, using the following main structure

/drupal
|
- /sites
|
- all
- www.example1.com
- www.example2.com

This works excellent.
http://www.example1.com points to directory /sites/www.example1.com with its own settings.php

Any insight regarding where to publish drupal .. to root directory (as most sites do), or to a subdomain, such as:

drupal.mysite.com/

i just downloaded drupal and i will install it on xampp.(using windows xp)
i am a good programmer in asp3.0 classic and mediocre in .net. But i wanted to try something 'ready' and 'opensource' .... Just because the freetime isnt much any more :( (kids, job etc)
