Before you start

Hello! I am thinking of building a software download site (to be a reseller for about 200 software products). Could everybody recommend some modules to fulfill the following task? Thx!!!

1. For example, When I made a webpage to describe a "video converter software", can I have the related products (just the short descriptions and the thumbnail image) shown below the descriptions of "video converter software"? Does anybody know which module can perform this task?

I installed Drupal 5.1 last night. Easiest installation imaginable. Still need to config, but question:

Install requirements says Druapl prefer MySQL 4.1 or 5.0. I have 4.0.25.

As I understand Drupal 6 will not support pre-4.1.

At some point my host (Lunarpages) will (hopefully) upgrade MySQL to either 4.1 or 5.0.

What effect does this have on my DRupal install?

Do database tables initialized & set-up in v4.0.25 have a problem when the MySQL version is upgraded?

Is the MySQL effectively invisible to me?

I would like to know if Drupal is capable of these functions...

- User customised accounts & log-in.
- I can specify each users page & content. i.e. Once s/he logs in what information is displayed & what files can be downloaded.
- A tracker (ticketing system) that each user can use & no need to resign in again.

Also what modules can be used for these.

Hi, I would like to play around with Drupal before launching it onto my site. I am unclear how to get it to open in DreamWeaver - if anyone can help.

Otherwise, I understand I need to install it before I can modify/design it. Therefore - I have currently a PhPBB Forum running on my site and need to know if installing Drupal will interfere with this in any way?

Can I run Drupal on a subdomain and will this therefore leave the rest of my site intact?

If I install Drupal - what will happen to my existing website?
